On the occasion of his first-ever visit to the U.S. Capitol, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan decorated EAFJD President Kaspar Karampetian with the prestigious "Mesrop Mashtots Order" for his commitment and activity in defence of Nagorno Karabakh people's rights and promoting relations between Europe and Artsakh. Exhibition in Strasbourg dedicated to the 30th  anniversary of Nagorno Karabakh movement

The EAFJD in cooperation with the permanent representation of Artsakh Republic in France and the Armenian representation in the Council of Europe co-organized photo exhibition entitled "Artsakh - Hidden Treasure" on 13 March, in Strasbourg. This exhibition was an important initiative to perceive Artsakh not as a conflict zone, but as a picturesque region - land of Hidden Treasures, where people live in harmony. Read more

Artsakh flag on the boards at the entrance of the city of Alfortville (France)

French city of Alfortville has signed a friendship agreement with Berdzor, a town in Nagorno Karabakh. The flag of the Artsakh Republic and the name of the city of Berdzor now appear on the boards at the entrance of the city.

Presenting TUMO of Artsakh in Brussels

On the initiative of the Belgian Deputy André Du Bus and in cooperation with the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) and the AGBU Europe, Korioun Khatchadourian, the manager of TUMO Center for Creative Technologies of Stepanakert (Artsakh/Nagorno Karabakh) was in Brussels on 27 March 2018, to present innovative methods developed by TUMO in the domain of education using advanced technologies. EAFJD communication officer Harout Chirinian participated in the Youth conference of the European Pontos Greeks Federation in Germany where he presented the activities of the EAFJD and the Armenian activism in general in Europe.

Human Rights & Hate Speech in the South Caucasus in the context of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict

We are pleased to invite you to attend the exclusive presentation of the human rights situation in the South Caucasus in the context of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict with the Ombudsman of Nagorno Karabakh, Ruben Melikyan.

In the context of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the human dimension, specifically human rights, often gets obscured by geopolitical and geostrategic considerations. Ombudsman Melikyan will provide a broad overview of the human rights situation in Nagorno Karabakh and the impact the protracted conflict has on human rights in the wider region.

The briefing will take place at the Press Club Brussels Europe, Rue Froissart 95, 1000 Brussels on Wednesday, 25 April from 13:15 to 15:30.
